Can anyone throw light on this please?

I have come across a set of Gaugemaster Station lights but there is no actual wiring diagram, thet are about twenty or more years old,
there are resistors etc included but what goes where?

I wouldn't bother with those pcb"s. The long leg of a led is positive. Depending on supply voltage I'd use a 10K resistor first. If that 's too dim try the 1K. I usually connect the resistors to the positive leg of the led. It doesn't really matter which leg, but I try and keep them all the same.

Cheers Pete.

Another way which works with older lamps but not necessarily with recent LED ones is to simply wire them in series.  That's what I did with several sets of lights on successive layouts with the wiring adjusted until I got the required "golden glow" rather than a brilliant white and the smell of hot lamp unit!

For a longer platform I found that wiring three lamps in series with each other produced the required illumination and then wiring the groups of three in parallel was the solution.  A bit of trial and error but it worked.
