Just as a matter of interest, if anyone is considering building a GWR footbridge like this, SCALELINK provide etched diamond overlapped and rivetted lattice sheets purely for this purpose.Also they can supply the stairways and supports in white metal.

Also many of these bridges were covered in which wouldn't require too much work if built up in plasticard.
