Can anyone help?

Hi there,

I downloaded some time ago some backdrops that I thought were interesting … being of the "Barchester Church"  I like paying next to nothing if not nothing for the stuff I do… but I cannot find the links nor what I downloaded as I am having trouble with one of my machines. There was a set of four that I think interlinked to each other

Can we compile a small list of free downloadable backdrops or suitable , as distinct from buildings please that can be currently downloaded. I was looking to build a backdrop for the club I am in based on stickers or printout in the broad perhaps using elements from these pictures to create our own unique versions?

This could also build into a good resource for us all…

Regards and TIA

Trevor

This sounds interesting Trevor.  We could do with something better than Townscenes or, gasp!, Peco backscenes.  Scalescenes do have a free photographic sky backdrop available - all I did was email John Wiffen and he sent the files.  There's a blue sky and grey sky.  The drawback is that you may need them professionally printed - cost me $12 each for 9" x 3' photographic paper.  I'm not going to attach them since I'm not sure of the copyright rule on this.

I have just created some back scenes around 1.2m long by doing a google search for panoramic pictures and then using a free program called Postariza to print them as a banner on A4 paper that you then just paste together on your back board.

We used to have access to some backscenes via Henryparrot but I'm not sure what happened to them when Brian moved on ……….

I wonder if Sol or Marty could ask ………….:roll:

Thank you for these, they are exactly among the ones I was specifically thinking of and looking for on my machine but of course there are others and I intend to do a bit of merge and paste etc. Hopefully these are useful to a lot of others and that there are more out there…

Peter, I think the ones I have might be these but there are 24 pictures which would take quite a time to post here so I've just emailed them to Trevor - took less than a minute!

If anyone else wants them just let me have your email address and I'll get to it.

Ken.
