It's obvious from the results thus far what you are trying to achieve and I think all it would take is a bit more practice and you could find yourself with some very acceptable figures.
How about making a few more?
Go on, you know you want to. :D

Actually I think there is potential in what you have done as a starter, the proportions are not too bad. Don't give up just yet. I would try the most basic pose first, say a person simply standing upright, move the legs together so they touch and the arms right by the side of the figure - you should get a better feel of the proportions of the shoulders etc. Keep going!

There's a modeller 5min from here who makes his own in OO scale. I've seen them first hand and they're very good. Making my own is on my long list of things to do.
http://users.bigpond.net.au/robsstuff/ This is the link to his site. I did try to recruit him - he's the one who reprogrammed a DCC fitted diesel for me.
Keep at it, Mike.

Freddy Kruger now looks slightly less menacing, the Edwardian Lady has given birth and taken off her flippers and people are beginning to mention details (hat and muffler etc).
Progress indeed :!:
Keep up the good work, you will crack this one :!: :!:

There! And you thought I was taking the mickey.
I was serious; I honestly thought the modelling of those figures showed potential. I'm glad that other members agree. So now you have no excuse. You are our unofficial 'Chief Figure Sculptor' and we want to watch how things progress from here; as I'm sure they will. :D

Still I tried painting them both after even more tweaking and I am beginning to think i am getting there. The most difficult part is modelling the man. He either looks like a eunuch or he's hung like a donkey!!
Thankyou
