One station of the Devan & Summersett

I don't expect to understand that, Ron.
Confused by the  way that activating the crossover turns off the second green light on the bottom straight.
However, I'm pleased for you that it's finished.
Smooth running tested?

Pete, the green light indicates set for the straight while the amber indicates using the crossover - helps to define the toggle switch as well.

Reasonably smooth running especially with bogie vehicles.

Now that's a definite result Ron.

A very tricky bit of track laying that's been very well executed. :thumbs

Since April 2013, Barnstable, on the lift up, has had a  few changes - no longer with goods/cattle working tracks and revamped tracks to the junction.
Station building to move from the LH side to the RH side - cut down of course.
The RH track is the mainline and the LH track goes to the main station, Tawnton.

A new platform is underway

a close up of the underframe wood 15mm thick

now to provide the paving surface for the paving stones & stone wall as the next stage.

Hi Sol,

Speaking of ballast, is the ballast you use from the Chucks Ballast range or something else ?

Cheers, Gary.

Excellent axe recovery Ron,
I like your fearless way with dealing with the point on the liftup section. Those Peco? crossing noses can be a little delicate!
Regarding dremel disks have you tried the diamond one,s?

Yes Derek, standard Peco turnouts and normal dremel discs - I have heard about the finer cuts with a diamond disc and if I started a lot of hand built turnouts like Max is doing, then I would invest in one.

I've got the diamond cutter Ron and it's excellent,it may well be worth the investment anyway.

I've got one that's supposed to be a diamond, but it's a thicker disc.  I have to use the thinner, fragile ones for cutting frogs - and even then the cuts are quite wide.
