Many thanks John for taking the time to post images and comments as you constructed my Large overall roof kit. The finished model looks superb! I love all the signage and advertising, it really brings the scene to life. I really must get that pre-nationalisation sign and poster board pack out... Cheers John ____________________ John Wiffen Graphic Designer Scalescenes.com |

Hi John I just love the roof. Two quick questions: 1) Can the main station building be placed at the side of the roof instead of the end? 2) Is it possible to vary the span (width) of the roof as I would just like it to span a double track with two platforms? ____________________ Regards Rhiwderin_Ray |

Glad you like the roof! [1] You can place the station building at the side.....in fact thsts where mine will be when I get round to bulding it [2] I think it would be very difficult,if not impossible, to vary the span. If you havent done so you should check the Scalescene site because that shows the key dimensions........the large station building comes with a smaller roof that should work with 2 tracks Hope this helps ____________________ John Granby III Lenz DCC,RR&Co Gold V9 B1 Windows 10 |

I should have made it clear that my comments about the impossibility of altering the span related to modifying the arches as printed. If you are able to resize the arches using Photoshop or similar it may be possible to vary the span.............this is beyond my level of competence. There is a caveat I have just thought of..........Technically you are not supposed to modify John Wiffen's drawings but I believe there was a thread here or elsewhere where there was a consensus that it is ok if confined to your own use. ____________________ John Granby III Lenz DCC,RR&Co Gold V9 B1 Windows 10 |

Many thanks for that John. I think the roof you used is too big for my terminus but it looks like the roof and large station kit should do the trick ! I have just skimmed through the Granby thread and have to say that you have a great model there. Congratulations and many thanks for sharing all your hard work with the forum. ____________________ Regards Rhiwderin_Ray |
