Some pictures from a trip to Settle in October. Took a run to Carlisle for the first time - the line is all they say, the scenery is stunning and a bit different than the rolling hills of Devon that Peco delight in putting in their backscenes.
Enjoy.... first the famous bit

Then Settle station

One for Perry and the master scratchbuilder fraternity

And, unfortunately this is all I took at the Carlisle end - must have developed a sudden interest in roofs :?

Is that enough information Perry, or do you need to make a trip? 8)

Wayne

PS: I like the detail on those buildings, they just don't build them like that anymore!

Thanks Sparky - I couldn't get that close at the time but itlooked like a hard rubberised surface on pre-constructed sections that were dropped in place. They looked as though they were adjustable and flexible so they could be repositioned easily in a different location.

Any excuse to make a trip to see something to do with railways is good enough for me, Wayne. :D

The main trouble is we don't build much out of stone here in the old Great Eastern region; it's brick or flint here! :?
(and not mud huts before certain people start replying!!!!)
