Short lengths of sisal string can be unravelled and cut into short lengths to form stems. Dip the tips of a small bunch of the string fibres into PVA and then into various coloured scatter material to form flower heads, etc. I believe that tiny pieces of Fimo clay can be fashioned into things such as cauliflowers or marrows, etc. I hope this gives you some ideas. Hi I have long admired the County Gate layout in the UK - the owners have a fantastic website too - full of useful information and 'how to's'. I doubt if you'll do better than looking here!! http://www.009.cd2.com/members/how_to/plants.htm Hope this helps. |

Someone somewhere here did some cracking flowers using dried out/waste paint blobs as the coloured flower-head bit. It was so good I went out and rescued some jettisoned watercolour tubes I had thrown out. Doug ____________________ 'You may share the labours of the great, but you will not share the spoil...' "Someone somewhere here did some cracking flowers using dried out/waste paint blobs as the coloured flower-head bit" Ah, yes. Poppies on Stu's War Memorial. Dip cocktail stick (shaped at the end if you like) into paint leftovers. Use to apply to foliage. ____________________ http://dddioramas.webs.com/ 11 + 2 = 12 + 1 |
