Looks pretty competent to me. Not a kit I've ever come across but then it's not something I've gone looking for either. | |||||||||

Oh! You poor gullible lot! That's no loco hoist, it's a 1/4 scale model of a SWMBO pie-crust lifter......![]() [You can tell I've had a sherbet or two, can't you?] Daft Doofer ____________________ 'You may share the labours of the great, but you will not share the spoil...' The footprint measurements in old money are. Internal width between concrete bases . 2" external inc reel platform and ladder on the opposite side 4" Length of concrete bases2 3/8" height to top of handrail. 6" The base width wise is a bit springy so can be tweaked a little . ____________________ reg |

This thread was from back in 2010, it cropped up again due to picture of the month ? Max popped out for a pint of milk a while ago and spotted somebody flying a model airplane, decided to have a go and ever since has been 'buzzing' the neighbors ![]() You might wait a while for an answer ![]() Cheers Matt |

Don't be sorry ! Its great visiting threads from YMRC's past, there is great content and loads of useful information stored away and some fantastic photos as well. Peter running a picture of the month competition is encouraging members to rummage deeper into the stored history for that 'Special' picture ![]() I must say though we are also getting some fantastic NEW content creating Hot competition for that once a month pride of place spot at the front of YMRC ![]() ( Psst I do hear a rumour that all it takes to win is to cross Peter's palm with a couple of pieces of silver, well a couple MORE than your nearest competitor anyway ![]() That reminds me. " PETER do you accept wine vouchers ???" ![]() Cheers Matt |

This picture from this thread was selected by the members as "Picture of the Month" for March 2021![]() Whilst not published in the actual layout thread, it is from the "Nickel Saucer Road" built by MaxSouthOz and can be seen here: http://yourmodelrailway.net/view_topic.php?id=3311&forum_id=21&highlight=nickel+saucer ____________________ 'Petermac |

Hi Ron. Terrific model, but, it would be too big for my four foot layout . But I am looking for inspiration to put a bit of life into my plank, I did have some great ideas? Originally I wanted a coal yard, but I have laid an extra track in the way unless I have a level crossing, but this is getting silly. Never having even ballast on previous layouts , this time I have started laying it , I had begun to build an engine shed, alas the Airfix/Dapol kit was a bit wonky, coal bins, a small shed, and weigh Bridge would fit, if not out of place? Have you got any advice? Best wishes Kevin
