Hello Martin,
I would like to go. PP me which morning suits you best and then we can arrange where to meet-up. Hopefully we might get a few more to attend,

I am probably looking at the Sunday morning (as usual), although as SWMBO and daughter are away for the weekend, weather permitting, the world is my oyster.

What was last years show like at the college was it just in the entrance way like the previous year or was it any bigger ? Not much point in venturing out if there is only a small number of stands !!

I believe that it is 'in the round' again this year. As long as we don't all circulate clockwise we should bump into each other.

Seriously, I quite liked the arrangement and for 'just the entrance' it is quite large.

A list of layouts and trade stands is here

For those with any concerns it is being reported on RMweb that this show WILL go ahead despite any severe weather which may arrive in the interim.

Hello Rick,
It looks as though we are in for several snowy days. I think I'm the only YMRer going who has a 4X4 so I will probably be the only one there.:lol: Hope your final "water" pour,  below the viaduct,  went well? Looking forward to the Photos,
Kind Regards,
Michael Thornberry.

URGENT UPDATE FOR EXHIBITORS, TRADERS AND VISITORS

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS SHOW HAS NOW BEEN CANCELLED

http://www.darlingtonmrc.co.uk/

While the weather around the venue is not too bad they recognise that it may be unrealistic for the show to go ahead when it is dangerous or impossible for many people to try to get there.

Hello Brian,
It was because of the Softy Southern Traders and Visitors  that we stalwart, thick-skinned idiots have been deprived of one of our Northern Shows. This could mean some more Christmas Shopping if I'm not careful. Death, where is Thy Sting. I'm hoping Our Lass gets charged with Theft and Card Fraud :thumbs or :hmm I could go on a Modelling spending-spree,
Kind Regards,
Michael Thornberry.

Given the cicumstances their announcement seems eminently sensible. It's a great pity though as I was looking forward to it.

I hope that they were insured or if not, haven't committed too much money that can't be recovered thereby putting the club at risk.

That was my thought is the financial one for the club as there are things they have had to pay for

I doubt if their insurance covers cancelling the show the insurance is usully more along the lines of public liability and insuring the layouts and equipment.

Perhaps they can reschedule

Brian
