could someone please point me at a supplier of these parts

I want to get a casting to fit on the front of a class 47

looking at photos of the real thing, they appear to have a square base

Shawplan are always a good place to start.  If you want working ones then Express Models.

Do you have photographs then Adrian? Is it possible to see the class 47 in action on your layout. As Marty says someone else might want to do the same thing if they see what you have done.
