Also I will be starting a longer term project towards the end of this month, involving a small amount of track, maybe a point and make sure you have your camera ready

Staggered. That's the only word for it.

Having finally, after many many years of intending to, I got around to making a wire tree - so as not to get left out. The boss watched it take shape over the course of a few evenings and when it was complete said:
I'd like to have a go at building a tree with you.
:thud

Here's the offending article...

That's not an "offending" article at all Ian.  It looks great and, as Marty said, a result on both counts.

I wonder if Liz would be interested in doing one with me .......................................:roll:

It's the thin end of the wedge, Ian, she'll be weathering your loco's next, hanging curtains in the train room and telling you to go to the chippy for your supper soon.....

Seriously if that is her first effort, you have solved all afforestation problems Chez Morton  :thumbs

Well done, Mrs Boss.

Doug

No, I didn't make myself clear. That was my humble effort - SWMBO has only expressed interest so far - but next time I will take her up on it. A nice coppice of silver birches would look good...

It's so good to see a few of you trying out the projects, and some for the first time scratch-building ( Phill :pathead:pathead), this was the reason for running these monthly projects, to give members the chance to see and learn new skills, which will help us all.

Does anybody have anything that they would like to be included in a future monthly project ?

Well, I'm pleased that the 'Flatscenes' amused one or two of you, and thanks to those who were interested enough to PM me with news that it was elsewhere, though without any reference to YMR.

Having pushed the idea of a forum standard photo imaging programme, [See sticky] with the managements permission I intend using the production of one of those sheets as a 'how to' so we can all do it, but not in the immediate future, nearer Christmas perhaps so you can use the Serif Photoplus SE to produce daft greetings cards!

Could you let me know how many would be interested, i.e. should I run it by PMs or on forum?

Keep doing it,

Doug
