I'd have to get smaller tins of Humbrol, Mike - and they don't make them smaller than the teaspoon size.

Hello DD,

Just checking, mate, to see if that detachment of "Jolly-Jack- Tars" has turned-up yet and, if so, does it still hurt:roll::lol:?

                                                                               Kind Regards(and commiserations)

                                                                                            Michael Thornberry.

Watched out for the balls, successfully kept them all in the packaging as I opened a delightful little cenotaph.

Peter, it's excellent, thank you very much indeed.

Just a note to say thanks for the support and suggestions.

To publicise the facility I've put three huts on eBay at knock-down prices to gauge the interest:
170548186689
170548187374
170548188035

I think the basic idea of providing affordable scratchbuilds as well as full scale dioramas has merit and I've already had enquiries and 'orders'.

It's good to start and finish a little project as time permits instead of the 'sometime never' of a full layout or the pressure of a bespoke diorama within a limited timeframe.

Also, these little accessories are something that, although folk can make them for themselves, the facility of a ready made item is convenient.

Another little hut - but what is/was it used for?
I've taken it from a sketch I made some years back - somewhere on the west coast of Wales.
It was near a railway track but that's all I remember.

Superb!  I love the idea of the dried-up paint for the poppies, absolutely inspired, I had a clear-out a couple of days ago and threw away some thickened, almost dried red and blue paint, needless to say I have been in the bin today to retrieve them...:thumbs:thumbs

I have no ideawhat the little hut was for, though....quest:

Thanks, Doug.
Look forward to a blooming good garden.
With your talents, I expect you'll be carving petal shapes into cocktail sticks.

Just sold a hut on eBay ... whoopee!
It's a good feeling when someone else is prepared to pay good money for one's creations.
(Not that it was VERY good money!)

Very atmospheric, I forgot to ask what the finish is you used on the little hut of unknown use?

Thanks, Richard.
Off to you tomorrow.

Doug: The stone is just embossed plasticard (on a plasticard backing - I have to make things twice!) and the paint is Humble Acrylic.
The roof is 'N' scale paving embossed plasticard.
The doorknob is a finial from some Ratio wrought iron fencing.

Oh - I forgot the Lego (bound to be some in there somewhere).
