hi david, welcome back to the forum

a quick question on anyrail

when printing out in 1 scale to lay onto the basboards is the width of the track equal to the sleeper width or the rail width?

when playing with the software i designed a fiddle yard so this spacing was important, i thought that the width (visual width on the screen you can see) is the width of the sleeper width. when i printed it out it looks like the rail width. i hope this makes sence, i believe thet the actual width of the track (not rail) would be more easier to work with. if you are tight on space that little bit extra makes all the differance.

my plans to have a look at

Sorry Matt, it's the rail width, not the sleeper width as this N gauge Setrack shows.

Indeed, it draws the rails (tracks).

We're working hard on a brand new version of AnyRail, where one can see the track's "footprint" as well.

Hi David is there anyway of exporting just the track diagram as a jpeg without the baseboard. The reason I ask is I want to use the anyrail track diagram as the basis for a control panel that im designing. Alternativly is there a way of changing the colour of the baseboard?

Cheers Dave. :thumbs

In the home tab, you can switch off 'Lines and surfaces'.

Alternatively, you can put the baseboard in another layer and hide it before printing.

By the way, we also have a special library named 'Symbols' that has tiles to design a control panel. It might be helpful.

David.
