Poor winston had a terrible mishap after leaving St Coloumb he slipped of the rails and fell down an adjacent disused mineshaft.

Initial attempts to rescue him were abadoned as he had fell down over 300 ft and to retrieve him  from the shaft would have been impossible.

An enquiry was then launced and extensive research was done with the old mine records and a route was found through all the old workings to get him out .
Well today was a big day as winston saw the light of day for the first time in a number of weeks and he has arrived at the T&P

After emerging from the T&P mineshaft winston can now get back on his normal journey and be welcomed officially by the t & P

Winston has arrived in Godolphin and been photographed.  Unfortunately I cannot find the correct cable to download the camera, so the photo update may have to wait!  He is now packed in the van again ready to head for Carn Brea.

As Winston rolled into Carn Brea earlier this month, his mileage tally was reading a very creditable:

                   2325 miles                  3720 kms

I hope you have all enjoyed following the exploits of our 2 wagons as much as I have and also enjoyed the inventiveness of some of our "authors".

As Wagonmaster, I'd just like to thank you all for making my job so easy.  :cheers:cheers
