It will. The route looks like being Vic -> SA -> Qld -> WA -> onwards. Any takers in New South Wales? | |||||||||

There is quite a bit going on behind the scenes and not only in Australia. All members should by now have received an email regarding this project inviting them to reply to Petermac by PM. Once we know who wishes to be involved, and any times they might be unavailable to do their bit (so that we don't mail a wagon to someone during their family holiday elsewhere, for instance, and cause a long delay to its travels) then the onward route can be planned. The certificate and wagon panel are designed and the theme of the "World Wide Wagon" is taken from the WWW of the internet. This identifies both a Global project and YMR as a web-based community. |

I have followed this thread with interest, and as a result it occurs to me that an appropriate 'house logo' is something lacking at present. Such a logo would have to be distinctive in all scales, and eye-catching on displays and paperwork, and, taking it one step further, on enamel badges and the like. I'd like to offer the following as I believe it represents the global nature of our little gang, but you may not all agree with the idea, nor agree that my design is suitable..... first, at lapel badge size........ ![]() and now as a humungous fingy! ![]() Doug ____________________ 'You may share the labours of the great, but you will not share the spoil...' Hi All Certainly up for photographing whatever it is on New Street. Can we keep it simple (4 wheel wagon) so its easier to balance on my rails? Cheers Jim ____________________ Jim Smith-Wright Rule 1 - Model what you really see and not what you think you know! http://www.p4newstreet.com |

OK everyone - I'm just doing some catching up on the main forum having spent the last 24 hours or so with some fairly intensive behind the scenes activity regarding the "World Wide Wagon" project. I see Rick has filled in most of the details about the current situation - thanks Rock - and it isn't too far off the mark. The wagon that will travel the globe starts the journey this weekend as detailed by Rick. It will probably remain in Australia until the end of January before moving on the the next continent - at this moment, most probably South America. It wil then travel via the US, Africa and finally into Europe. It will arrive at Carn Brea in time for the September show. Until I have all the names and address of those wishing to participate, I can't finalise the route so would urge you, if you wish to be a part of this project, to send me a PM with your name, address and phone number. The sooner I have this information, the sooner we can kick off. There are currently 36 members "signed up". Only those who have received an acknowledgement from me are on that list. If you haven't heard from me - then your name isn't on the list !!!! ____________________ 'Petermac |
