Another way is to use Scalescenes Printed roof tiles, these have been printed onto a thicker paper 160g/m, then cut into length's of three and laid down one on top of another, after they are dry, trim off the sides, and there you have a completed roof, all painted and detailed, along with the proper look.

Very nice work, Alan (or Pete).

Each to his/her own.
I have a personal preference for plastic for its robustness.
My situation is a little different in that a lot of my work gets posted.

Agreed - that looks very good Alan.

As you know my layout is outside and while I use a fair amount of card almost all of it is the Vollmer and Metcalfe which are both quite robust. I suspect something like Superquick models for example might not last so long.

Nevertheless I'll give Scalescenes a try onto something chunky and see how it goes.
