Hi Ted, If you have a photo and you want it to appear in your switchboard then there is no need to use animator. From the TC menu open the accessories tab. Locate the Image icon and click on it. Move the mouse and the arrow pointer will turn into a spanner when you hover over the switchboard. In the location you would like to insert your photo click and the spanner will turn into a box. Right click on the box and click properties A window will open up - select browse and locate your file in your photos folder - the default option is BMP format but you can select GIF or JPEG files You can then select the pixel size when ready hit the OK button Photo will be inserted with its top left hand corner in the box you selected Photo location can be dragged to suit your preferences. ____________________ Dave Notmutley British OO outline, DCC - NCE PowerPro, Sound chips, Computer Control- RR&Co software |

I would be surprised if you can do that Ted. The switch board track is built up from elements....track,turnouts,blocks etc......it is the very heart of Train Controller. Out of interest why do you need to use a photo as the switchboard? Regards John ____________________ John Granby III Lenz DCC,RR&Co Gold V9 B1 Windows 10 |

Hi John Thank you for your reply . I have , over time collected parts of track layouts on another computer . These I have incorporated with alterations into what I would like as my track layout . Really , I was just being lazy , There is between 150 and 200 meters of track all told on four different levels . Which I will find difficult to draw . Now I will try to draw each level on separate switchboards , and see how I go Thanks again John . Regards Ted |

That should work.......have you read upon connectors? You need to enter them to connect switchboards. Regards John ____________________ John Granby III Lenz DCC,RR&Co Gold V9 B1 Windows 10 |

Hi John Thank you for your prompt reply I will read up on connectors . Since upgrading from controller 8 to 9 , I have been concentrating on converting my workshop ,into my new train room . So I have been negligent in properly reading up on the differences between the two . ( see relocation ) Thanks again . Regards Ted . |
