My phone rang as I was on my way home from work...."I'm going to the local model railway shop to get some building sheets, fancy meeting me there?"
15 minutes later my good friend and I were browsing the shelves.
We had been discussing building an O gauge lay out, which I had resisted but now I seemed to be surrounded by gorgeous looking wagons and tankers........I cracked!

I have the track I need, 2 medium radius turn outs, a double slip and 8 pieces of flexi track, all by Peco.
I also bought 4 wagons.
This has taken a good chunk out of the money I got for four oo sound engines!!!!
Still a good sum left though.

Good news is, the lay out will be going into a spare room and not my train room so I now have 11 feet running length so lay out will be 11 x 2.

The other good bit of news is the guy who owns the model railway shop, that I bought this O gauge stuff from, is very interested in my painted railway figures so this could well lead to some commission work.

John :)

Oh, Dr Beeching what have you done?
There once were lots of trains to catch, but soon there will be none.
I'll have to buy a bike, 'cos I can't afford a car.
Oh, Dr Beeching what a naughty man you are!

Hi John,

I knew it would happen sooner rather than later.
