This has got to be the best Easter present I have ever had!

Dapol have done O gauge modellers a great service by introducing their range of affordable O gauge engines and their latest one is just about the best steam offering they have done so far.

She was very well packaged and after very careful undoing she proved to be in one beautiful piece!

The detail is amazing and even includes the valves/piston rods under the boiler! Cab detail is great only let down slightly by the amount of clear plastic visible which I would imagine is a big cost saver compared to individual pieces and is easily hidden with a lick of paint.

The only other thing I can fault this model on (and this is being very pedantic) was the tiny burr on the edge of the cab roof from were the part had been removed from its sprue.

Paint finish and decals application is top notch and all detail is pre fitted. There are tiny details like a padlock on the tool box and even etched cab side plates.

Mine is a display model so I can not comment on running qualities because I have not run her.
A truly magnificent model and for under £200, delivered, an absolute bargain.
Well done Dapol!!!!!!

I only plan to have her as a display model. She is yet to be weathered, tools and lamps fitted.

John :)
