Well it is for me

Tonight, my magnetic coupling system is making it's first live public appearance. I am taking some wagons to my local model railway club to demonstrate how it all works.

There will be a lot of people watching.

Soooooooooo will it..........

 A) Work perfectly with out a hitch in exactly the same way as it always does when I am using it on my own or.......

B) Take 40 attempts to couple, wagons separate 90 times in the first circuit then cause the train to derail, throwing my best engine onto the floor which then spontaneously combusts?  :hmm

I am so confident I know the answer that I am taking a fire blanket and a couple of CO2 extinguishers :thud

Hi John,

A) No
B) Yes

Blame the track, the unevenness, electromagnetic radiation from all these Bluetooth devices, the state of the tide in Wigan, the phase of the moon, the relocation of the north magnetic pole from Canada to the Carolina's  (or Clacton), the abnormal solar flux...

Get there early and do a few test runs.

LOL Matt.

It went very well indeed  :doublethumb

The couplings behaved themselves and the trains ran perfectly both pulled and pushed. Several members took samples away to try. The club chairman was very impressed.

Congratulations, John.  :cheers

It's one of those ideas which make you say, "Why hasn't anyone thought of that before?"

Brilliant!

Great news that all went well John, I've gone back and bookmarked your original article as I think I might give this method a try once I get my O-16.5 narrow gauge plank on the go
Cheers
