I would say yes. After three months I am still scratching the surface but consider it well worth the money Off the top of my head:: The entire application is visually crisper with Windows ribbon menus. Multiple moveable sizeable windows Detailed information about blocks or trainsets pops up by pointing at the object I can save a configuration for the laptop (which I use upstairs) that is different from the twin monitor set up that I use in the train room Custom command file that executes on opening or after a power out.....I throw a load of points controlled by the original DCC Concepts decoder Prerequisites/Gotos/Labels much improved Braking accurachy has been enhanced (although currently there are some side effects ![]() Limited distance move........makes the Kadee shuffle a breeze. I havent even started on variables which I suspect will add a whole new dimension to programming routines I sense that Robert (RFS) has explored further than I so he may well add to this list Carpe diem Dave Best wishes John ____________________ John Granby III Lenz DCC,RR&Co Gold V9 B1 Windows 10 |

I haven't really explored much further. But I would try to avoid skipping a version as it can become expensive. The upgrade from V8 Gold to V9 Gold is 101 Euros, and the upgrade from V7 to V8 somewhat less than that I recall. But the upgrade now from Version 7 to Version 9 is 270 euros. By upgrading to V9 now you get full support and all the new features, plus you won't have a steep upgrade cost when V10 comes out. ____________________ Robert |
