Hi All

Not done an update for a while but I have been busy. I have been doing a lot of the stuff that's not seen, mainly wiring point motors and generally tidying up the under board wiring also a few bits of scenery. I have also fitted a mini control panel for my new NCE Powercab and programming / cassette track.

Above is the framework for my cassette type storage trays, I have also wired it so I can use the cassettes as a separate programme track.

My mini panel, I just switch the wires on the panel to switch from cassette mode to programming track mode

Also started to drop in some terrace houses, these are scratch built using all sorts of bits and bobs from scalescenes kits, they are on the only bit of the layout that is a little dark but they are fit for purpose.

Built the scalescenes low relief warehouse ages ago, just dropped it in to see what it would look like.

Made a start to an embankment, this may not look like much but to me its quite a milestone, This is my first ever layout and as such have never done scenery. To be honest I had been putting it off but decided to bite the bullet and have a go. Still obviously needs the greenery etc adding. Results below..

Shaun

Hi All

Back after a lengthy layoff also had trouble logging into my account which Alan has now kindly resolved.

Update on the layout is that there is now no layout, I have ripped it up and started again. I was not entirely happy with it and certain areas were too far out of reach to comfortably work on. I made a million mistakes which hopefully I will not make on the new one although I am sure I will make plenty more.

Below is a drawing of the new layout. I have already started on it and will post some pics soon. Nothing is set in stone other than the two outer loops which are of varying heights as I like the option of having trains running constantly so any opinions very welcome.

I will leave the trail of the old layout up on this thread as it may be of use to someone somewhere, it will also illustrate my continuing journey on my layout.

Shaun
