After nine months I thought it time to post something from the bench.

Gresley's Run is being built for enjoyment and as such is not seen as a "root march" forward but rather something to be completed when I feel like it. Therefore please do not expect overnight completions.

We are now planning the main station layout so the thoughts turned to a signal box for the throat of the station. This would in reality control the main line running into the station and freight roads plus the entrance to the MPD.

We started with the Metcalfe PN133 N Gauge signal box kit. This was built to the first floor level. We then cut out a timber floor (from a timber flooring catalogue) and added that to the floor card. The upper level walls and windows were then added next.

Prior to roof fitting we need to do the interior.

Has anyone had any experience with the Ratio N Signal Box Interior? Any tips or tricks that may help?

Thanks

Andrew

Have added some pictures showing progress to date.

First one shows the building to the first floor with the timber floor inserted.

The next two show the components of the Ratio Signal Box Internals Kit

Next step will be to paint the internal components which I intend to do while still attached to the sprue (to make handling easier). We then need to layout and install to the structure. Maybe before Christmas.
