Hi guys,

Don't know if any of you have been here, or even heard of it!

It's great, one of our club members organised a visit, which we

did yesterday. Great site, with a good variety of stock and the

museum buildings are well laid out.

Because it was a club visit, we turned up at 5 pm, at the time it

normally closes to the public. It is run/owned by husband & wife

team, John & June Jolly, on their farm. We started with a trip up

the line in a CP caboose(!), motive power was 03 197, using a

flat wagon as a converter (couplings) and another behind it for

track circuit reasons.

The caboose was then shunted into a siding and we had time to

have a look around, before we all had a chance to drive the 03,

including my 15 yr. old son and another (younger) member.

Fish & chips next, followed by access to all areas, including the

workshops, where there was a 47, a 31, an 11, numerous 03's,

plus some industrials and a few steamers.

A very friendly and relaxed atmosphere, a great evening was had

by all, and I highly recommend it. Jeff

Hi Dave,

A few issues with photos; firstly, I only had my phone,
secondly, I didn't take that many (having too much fun
driving!), and thirdly, I'm still having trouble getting my
phone to talk to my 'pooter!

But, I will try harder, and if I'm lucky, you might also see
some that my son took. The other option is that if he posts
them on facebook/youtube, then I can post the links, ok.
