A few pics from this weekends exhibition. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to photograph all the layouts, although some of the layouts exhibited have been covered in other threads regarding exhibitions from down under. It was with great pleasure to put faces to names, as I had meet Dave (g'daysydney) and a few members from that other forum (RMweb), over the weekend. Of course it was great to catch up with Gormo once again, and I'm hoping that he can add some of his pics to this thread.

So, a few pics...

The next five pics are from a great HO scale New South Wales layout, 'Dungog'. A very beautifully presented layout which now has been exhibited for 15 years !! The layout was DC originally, now the club members have wired it for DCC with some great sound locos running the layout. Unfortunately today they apparently had a few dramas, but then again, exhibitions always brings out the niggles !

The next four pics are from a lovely 7mm scale model of Valley Heights (New South Wales) engine facilities. A very well and highly detailed model with some beautifully presented engines running DCC and sound.

Next two pics are of the N scale layout 'Twenty Three'. This is a husband/wife layout where the husband laid the track & electrics and the scenery completed by the wife. There is still some detail work to be completed on this layout, such as the loco depot.

...and then there was my layout, 'Linden Ford'. Photo courtesy of my wife... ;-)

All in all, a good solid three days of exhibiting. I can tell you that my voice box and feet needed replacing when I got home ! ;-)

Cheers, Gary.

G`day Gary,

Thanks for allowing me to add some pics to your exhibition report, however I finished up not taking any stills because I felt I would be repeating content that has gone before. I think your pics and summary have covered the event very well.

There is one bit of information you have omitted and I suspect your modesty has come into play in this regard.

Folks, I am happy to report on Gary`s behalf, that Linden Ford achieved The Darrell Nelson Memorial Award for Best New Layout.

Not bad for it`s second outing and very much well deserved.

Here is a pic with Gary helping an intellectually disabled young fellow to shunt wagons. I think it really made the young  blokes day.......Good one Gary :thumbs:thumbs:thumbs:thumbs

The layout was certainly generating a lot of interest and the children were lining up to have a go at shunting.
Gary also tells me he has had two more invites for exhibitions.....so there you are folks.....Well done and a good result all around.

:cheers  Gormo

Well done indeed, Gary. If only we knew of the exhibition, we might have attended.
Steve.

Steve, this was in Epping in Australia, not Epping in Essex!  It might take you some time to get home after the show!

Well Done Gary.:thumbs:thumbs:thumbs
