If you like to layout your track plan full size to see if it will work with paper templates, if you use "Drail" there is a way.

Under "Options" select Behavior "Metric", then "table" Width 39 Depth 28.
then set scale to 1-1 followed by the component you wish to print.
By using Print Preview you can adjust the positioning by using the rotate function.

Tony,

Yesterday I carried out the same exercise "Under "Options" select Behavior "Metric", then "table" Width 39 Depth 28.
then set scale to 1-1 followed by the component you wish to print.
By using Print Preview you can adjust the positioning by using the rotate function."

By setting Width at 21 and Depth at 30, I found I could print a full set of Code 75 track templates in portrait format on A4 paper. I also discovered that the font size is too big to be able to label them in this format - I don't suppose you know a workaround? I am just copying the templates, having hand-written the part numbers on each one.

Hi Froggy,

just tried the print function, right click & write the text, then right the text & the other print options are available, edit, increase, decrease & delete.
I have no idea what the upper & lower size of the font is. It would nice if you were able to rotate the text, I did post that question on Drail's forum, maybe they will add it to the wish list.

Hope this helps,

Tony

Thanks Tony,
I will keep my eye on the Drail forum. I like Drail, having tried 3rdPlanit, which produced so many errors, Drail is VERY user-friendly. Right now, I am experimenting with various track combinations and it is so easy to modify and "what-if" with Drail. Forums are great, we have the opportunity to suggest and they even listen, beats "Readers' Letters" hands down. This forum even makes it a pleasant experience

I think this program is going to finish up a winner here and probably one of those that you don't mind spending a few pounds on because it does what it says on the package, not always the case and it is easy to use.
