Hi all

An update from our weekend in Wales.  Managed to convince Mrs Jones to head down to Aberystwyth to go on the Railway.

Got there nice and early as they were opening up and bringing the locos' and carriages out of the shed.  Upgraded ourselves to first class for extra comfort and so we could sit in the observation saloon.  Then spent an hour traveling through the Welsh countryside up to Devils Bridge and had a nice wander around there.   Managed to see plenty of Red Kites and a few buzzards on the journey up through some stunning landscape.  Then waiting for the train back the driver invited me up to the cab for a bit of show and tell which was ace.  Overall a fantastic day.

Some pics below. i do have a video knocking around but need to try and upload it and rotate it first.

We are going to North Wales for our hols. this year, so guess what I'll be doing! Actually, the whole thing is, for me, going to be heaven. The hotel has real ale and folk music, with the railways on our doorstep as well. Bring it on.
