Here are some pics of a recent HO scale model of an Australian National Rail RQTY container wagon. The original Pattern was made from styrene and then a mold was made and these were cast in resin. The problem I had with this model was making sure that it did not bend after casting and I eventually came up with the solution which was running a metal strip in the fishbelly of the subframe. As you can see the underfloor detail is lacking as the plans I had did not have any indication of what was underneath. The models are quite good runners and due to the cut outs in the floor seem to look best when not fully loaded with containers. The prototype carries 1x40' and 1x20' or 3x20' containers.
