Just found these photos of my first ever layout build, might be of interest. The layout was 72" x 24" - supposed to be somewhere in Mid Wales. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Roy. |

Hi Roy, Very nice little layout. I like how you have painted the engine shed, bridge piers, tunnel mouth and retaining walls to match the 'local' stone, very well done. Also the shaley out crop behind the signal box looks fantastic. Great work and attention to detail. ![]() Cheers, Gary. ____________________ ...as a young lad, it was big trains for little boys, now it is little trains for big boys...! http://yourmodelrailway.net/view_topic.php?id=12116&forum_id=21 |

Yes, I'm interested, too. Hoping one day to build a OO9 from a Graham Farish 08 if I can find a donor. Can't you get a lot in, in OO9! I really like 009 and if I did not have so much N Gauge stuff I would model in 009, superb pictures and a great looking model railway.

Darius, take note that the loco is a body kit only. If you bought one you would have to provide a running chassis, probably an N Gauge one, although it doesn't say anything about which one on the Parkside Dundas webpage. Terry |

I inherited this layout and am sat with it here in my office as I type! The attention to detail is just stunning. It has a 009 Society plaque on the front - did it win an award Roy? I'm happy to share more pictures of how it is today if anyone's interested..... | |||||||||

Wow is it still up and running, it never won any awards as I never took it to any Exhibitions, I would welcome a look as to how it is today. I have only built 2 layouts to date the other can be found here, it did win the odd award: http://yourmodelrailway.net/view_topic.php?id=9697&forum_id=21&highlight=crackington Roy. |

I also have Roy's original design notes and a photocopy of the 009 News edition the layout featured in. The printed description of the layout is via the following link:link |
