The Welsh National Woolen Museum in Drefach Felindre (where?) held a small exhibition of local modelling talent, and invited myself and Ronrail to bring our layouts (Kilgerran and Weston Road) along to bump up the numbers. Turned out to be an excellent little show, with over 500 coming through the doors. Patrick, Colin, James and myself showed Cardigan and Kilgerran, whilst Ron was assisted by Steve, Dave, and Peter in running Weston Road. First shot is Kilgerran: ![]() Which is the next station along from the Terminus at Cardigan, with Colin, Patrick and James : ![]() Across the passage way Ron's Weston Road, with Peter and Dave contemplating: ![]() From the overhead walkway, Cardigan and Kilgerran: ![]() And Weston Road: ![]() Approaching Cardigan: ![]() And finally, I just couldn't resist this shot: ![]() Regards to all, Shaun. |

Great stuff! Exhibitions are a lot of fun, if exhausting. I like that two layouts are joined by a common fiddle yard. I can't decide whether you're inside or out. Surely it must be inside, the weather can't be THAT good in November. John ____________________ John |

Been to the museum at Drefach Felindre, fascinating place, well worth the visit. Very clever putting the traverser between the layouts... And very useful to see the Cardigan layout. Thanks everybody! - yes, it's a glassed in area between the mill buildings. (Dave's link shows it very well - thanks Dave, I'm hopeless at links!) Marty - I'll post some pics of Cardigan layout on a layout thread later on. ATB Shaun. |

Outstanding set of layouts, like the idea of joining together with the fiddle yard. Thanks for sharing with us.

Really great layouts and that first picture is terrific. Also the expressions on the kid's faces says it all. Ken ____________________ 'It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that Swing' |

Looks like you had a great day Shaun. That's a good turnout (500) for a one day show and will have kept you busy. It's good to see some shots of the layouts joined up and both of them look superb. Thanks for sharing. ____________________ Nick AKA Woody ------- Much Murkle GWR a layout in the making Much Murkle website |

Thanks Nick! With the layouts joined up, confusion reigned supreme. Patrick kept sending various train make-ups down to me one after another - Kilgerran passing loop was working overtime... They only had four trains a day back then! |
