Just found this post whilst browsing; I was born on a farm at Old Woodhouse just up from Quorn and would walk down to the station to watch the trains. Later as a soldier I caught the train to St Pancras when on leave. Fond memories, laterly I worked as chauffeur to the MD of Brush. Odd then that I never had a train set until I was 66! | |||||||||

Nice to see a station restored to former glory. Not like the vandals who tore down the elegant station buildings and replaced them with bus shelters. Thanks for the photo,s. Derek. |
