Alan/Spurno/ Lord & Master .

This has probably been asked before and there may well be a reason/reasons that it has not been done BUT after making my last post on the "Trams from paper or card thread" I searched for a Buy/sell/swap thread and could not find one.

:hmm If other users think this could be useful, can we have one please? :hmm

Can you lock this thread now as the info will still be available.

Thanks
Jim

Sorry Jim,not sure what you mean by locking the thread. To  be honest it is not used a great deal and will revert to the off topic section if not viewed.

Hi Alan
I just meant that you can stop any replies to the thread. Users can still read it but not post replies. If you do that it acts simply as a signpost to the correct place.

Regards
Jim

Sorry Jim but i'm lost.If i close the thread what purpose would be served?.Where does it point to?,What info is still available?.I take it you mean close this thread and not the "making trams from cardboard" thread.

Hi Alan
I got lost looking for the Buy/Sell/Swap thread and assume that there is a chance that others may do as well. Remember that I am fairly new to this forum.
By "Locking" a thread I mean that others can read the thread but not post to it.
If that is the case anyone looking at this thread will see, from your reply to me, the correct place to go to. You could even put a direct link to the correct thread on here. As there is already a buy/sell/swap thread this one is redundant and could even be removed entirely and I will edit the post in the trams thread to remove any reference to buy/sell/swap.

Regards
Jim

Hi Jim,if you really want it closed i'll do it for you but it doesn't really make a difference as when it reaches the bottom of the 15 recent topics it will revert to the section in the main menu.Even if the topic is made sticky if it is not used in a certain period it will revert to the main menu.Although most members probably use the recent topics it is a good idea occasionally to visit the main menu to see if you have missed anything. Please let me know what you would like me to do.

Didn't realise it worked that way.
