Dick, have a look at this website. They have a bespoke laser-cutting service if you can't see what you want. http://yorkmodelmaking.co.uk/ Terry |

Dick, I've had a look through what I could find from UK makers, could find windows with arched tops, but they were not sash windows, similarly could find sash windows, but none with arhed tops. Both Langley and Brassmasters do etched windows in 00 you may be able to find something that could be hacked to nearer what you want. An alternative might be to edit out the brickwork and clean up that image in a photo processing app and print out to self adhesive paper or vinyl label stock, cut out and stick to clear acetate sheet. If you have access to a plotter cutter, copy the edited image into the cutter software and cut from thin card or label stock. I've used the vinyl label/clear acetate method in N gauge, using a plotter cutter takes all the pain out of cutting round individual frames by hand. I copied your pic and did a bit of editing to produce the images below These jpg's could be imported to the Zing plotter cutter software (probably other makes too) resized as required and cut from any colour of paper or vinyl, or they could be opened in a photo app, resized and/or change colour as required then printed onto paper or card and cut out; then whichever method you use stick the results to clear acetate: from a photo app, if you want white frames print in any colour, cut out and then stick the coloured side onto the clear acetate so the white unprinted side shows. Copy as many as will fit onto whatever size paper/card you usually print, you should be able to copy these jpg's by right clicking on the image and selecting copy, open your photo app and "paste as new image" , or paste into an opened blank image. ![]() ![]() The arched top may want tidying up a bit but will probably print or cut OK If you want opened windows either edit some before printing/cutting or cut the left hand image in half you could then stick them to the clear sheet such that they are full open or just pushed up part way ____________________ Cheers MIKE How many roads must a man walk down ... ... ... ... before he knows he's lost |

I want to thanks everyone who answered my question. I had looked at the sources you guys have mentioned. I was hoping for a smaller, harder to Google source you may know. I think mikes answer is probably the best I however have no idea to do what he is suggesting. Dooferdog going by his other nom du plum on another forum suggested printing them out with a light gray outline so I can get white windows. again something I have no idea how to do. I could always just use square windows and infill the top as is done when buildings are updated, but this is one of the coolest features of this little building. Dick |

Hi Dick, Another manufacturer of windows in the US are Tichy Train Group (TTG). Sorry I cannot find a link to a site, but if you google them or type in Tichy Train Group Windows in the ebay search panel, quite a few suppliers pop up. I personally use both Grandtline and TTG and highly recommend them. Cheers, Gary. ____________________ ...as a young lad, it was big trains for little boys, now it is little trains for big boys...! http://yourmodelrailway.net/view_topic.php?id=12116&forum_id=21 |

If you have the skill to draw them out at your required scale Dick, there are small companies that specialise in making bespoke etchings. I know such methods have been used in UK but not sure what you have over there. ........... Do you get "Model Railroad Hobbyist" - the online magazine ? They often have adverts from companies offering similiar services. I'll post a link to the magazine ..................it's free. ![]() Here 'tis: http://model-railroad-hobbyist.com/ You just sign up and it arrives in your inbox each month ............. ![]() ____________________ 'Petermac |

Thanks again guys. I had tried tichy ,grandt line, scale link. brassmasters and everyone else that came up on google. I got out my English to English dictionary and found out what bespoke means. the laser cutting services are quite out of my budget as is a plotter. DorsetMike has given me some good tips to photo shop the images. and cut out. I only need 4 windows so if I print out a sheet of them I should get 4 to work![]() Dick |

I like the idea of your "English to English" dictionary Dick ........what's the spelling like in it ? ![]() ![]() ![]() When I suggested having them made, I wasn't suggesting laser cut stuff - that is expensive. I was suggesting you look at the brass etch route - that's much easier and much cheaper but, if you only need 4, then I'd have a play with Allan's printed jobbies. ![]() ____________________ 'Petermac |

thanks for the link. I bet I used every search string for UK and European dealer I could think of but this one never showed up. They have the perfect size and style I need for this and maybe future products. A little pricey though. Looks like 20 ( can't find the pound key) minimum order plus shipping and don't know what vat is. It looks like you guys have many more small cottage industries than we do. Mostly OO, but unless I stick a preiser figure in a doorway you cant even tell. Dick |

Along those same lines, if anyone is having trouble finding something I will do my best to search the sources over here. Dick |
