For those of you modelling a burgeoning metropolis or even a larger town, this ornately fronted theatre might provide some inspiration for something a bit different. This is the Theatre Royal in Portsmouth.

Here's something along those lines that I built as part of a huge high street scene many yonks ago and I reckon Davids theatre would have fitted in there just nicely - womder if the client would still be interested...
