Some of the semaphore signals at Ystrad Mynach. These are due to be removed soon once the Valleys resignalling is finished.

YM5 This is at the south end of the up platform and allowed wrong direction movements (from a former branch north of the station) and reversing movements to reach a crossover to the down line. The elevated dummy controlled movements to the down goods loop.

The back of YM5

The branch from Cwmbargoed colliery is on the right. The main route to/from Cardiff is in the centre.

The up inner homes for the junction with sighting boards.
