For the uninitiated, how do these kits differ from a standard Peco kit ? I see they appear to be packaged or made by Peco .........![]() ![]() ____________________ 'Petermac |

Hi peter the buffers come as part of the kit but I think that they are available as a separate item from the ngauge society shop with regards to the kits these are produced by the society themselves and they use the peco chassis for some of these but the bogie wagons mostly use the societys own bogies . hello here we go again more for you good folks to look at these are the L N E R /PO 12t/13t 8 plank end door mineral wagon![]() this is how they arrive from the society ![]() all the parts required to make one wagon as you can see they are supplied with plastic wheels I will eventualy change them for metal ones as and when funds become available ![]() as can be seen in this shot they are fairly easy to put together and they do make a nice little wagon not done the chassis yet as the body needs to be painted first ![]() front and rear end of the wagons ![]() and last but not least my anti spill holder for the solvent weld yes you've guessed it I managed to nock over a bottle with some left in not a good idea as this evaporated very quickly and certainly took my breath away for a few moments thanks for looking bye for now Geoff ![]() |

Looks a nice little kit Geoff. Where did you get the Plastic Weld holder from ? I had a small ** accident with mine and now the TV remote control is permanently sealed so when the batteries run out I will have to buy a new one. ![]() ____________________ Regards, Trevor |

well here we go again the next project I am doing is the GWR lomac loriot and as we all know there was only one of this type of wagon built but as it is a free lance layout that I am in the proses of constructing there will be 10 altogether this will make a nice rake running behind one of the standard locos![]() all the parts to make three of the wagons ![]() all the parts cleaned up and ready for use ![]() one side done including the coupling pockets ![]() ![]() job done only 9 more to go then they will join the very long que for the paint shop with any luck in the near future I will get the air brush and start to practise using it then move onto laying some paint onto the large amount of wagons that need paint one good thing is that the railways were not to adventuras with their colours either grey or BR bauxite anyway many thanks for any thoughts/ comments good or bad and for taking the time to look at my humble efforts Geoff |

Hello everyone first of all many thanks for your kind comments regards my work not the best in the world but I am getting better at it. Wright that's enough of that onto the next project this will really test me as this is quite some kit an awful lot of very delicate parts ![]() this is a faller kit of a coal loading crane and as I've already said its some kit but instead of using it as shown I will be using it dock side to unload iron ore from ships and to load this into waggons ![]() this is the support frame for the crane itself as this is a complicated build I am building it in several sub assemblies as this will make painting much easier to do not quite sure what colour to use as I have seen some dock cranes in both grey and several different shades of blue anybody any suggestions please ![]() as I've already said quite a complicated little beast there are 12 parts to the grab alone ![]() ![]() this is the frame for the hopper that loads the iron ore into waggons 4 at a time more shots of this to come ![]() quite obvious that this is the jib and cab of the crane again a lot of work one thing that I have learned this last year is to take your time building these kits and now it is paying dividends as I seem to be making a much better job of things than when I first plucked up the courage to start making my kits the only down side has been the lack of progress on my layout but hay ho you cannot have everything. regards Geff ![]() |
